PROP (Pendill Russian Orphan Program)
PROP has served as the springboard and inspiration of the new Pendill Fund and will continue as one of the PF
programs serving the needs of disabled orphaned children.
For almost eight years this program has helped over forty-five disabled children annually. Under this program
disabled children and orphans (at times they are both disabled and orphaned), are treated during the summer months in
a sanatorium in Evpatoria (Crimea) Ukraine, which offers the children excellent medical, as well as preventive care.
Children enjoy the benefits of five meals a day, exercise, sunshine, fresh air and swimming in the Black Sea. All
children demonstrate positive changes after as little as four weeks. During the year, many of the same children visit
Moscow, where with the help of PROP they are fitted for new prosthetic arms and legs, they can consult the best
medical professionals, get help from educational advisors as well as legal assistance and counseling, and participate in
other Pendill Fund sponsored programs like Maria's Children. With the help of
devoted volunteers, PROP children are given a new lease on life. Today, many are helping others like themselves in
turn
