Educational Programs

PF funds programs that have an impact, through education, on the lives of children and youth:

  • Arts therapy programs, which use the arts to help children and youth find expression for their innermost problems through painting, creative writing and dramatic arts, helping them to gain acceptance and self worth.
  • Teaching tolerance through programs focused on changing attitudes towards the disabled, deaf and mute, HIV positive, as well as tolerance and understanding of ethnic differences
  • Life skills training programs for orphaned and disabled youth, helping them to obtain the necessary skills for their future well-being as adults in society
  • Programs that mainstream special needs children into society
  • Mentoring programs involving the elderly population, many of whom are able to take a youngster under their wing, providing guidance, tutelage, and love
  • Programs that train staff in the above categories
  • Programs that engage and train volunteers, fostering the spirit of community service
