John P. Corrigan
Director
John P. Corrigan is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, a Certified Valuation Analyst,
and is an attorney admitted to practice in several jurisdictions. He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree
in accounting from Pace University, and a juris doctor from Fordham University Law School.
John began his career in 1982, when he joined Touche Ross & Co., a predecessor firm to Deloitte & Touche, LLP, where
he specialized in serving large multinational corporations, both public and private, as well as high-net worth individuals
in the development of complex tax planning strategies. In 1992, John joined Fund American Enterprises Holdings, Inc.
as Director of Taxes, where he was responsible for all legal, tax and employee benefit functions, including the management
of several legislative and lobbying initiatives in Washington. During 1993, Mr. Corrigan was instrumental in the completion
of a corporate reorganization that resulted in the creation and spin-off of White River Corporation to the shareholders of
Fund American. Mr. Corrigan became Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Tax Counsel of White River, which became a
separate publicly-traded investment holding company.
In 1996, Mr. Corrigan became a Principal of The Breakwater Group, LLC, a multi-faceted business advisory firm which
provides a full range of financial and management consulting services for privately owned businesses and high-net
worth individual clients. He is also an Advisor to the Board of Directors of the Robert C. Atkins Foundation, Inc.,
which is a supporting organization of a public charity, National Philanthropic Trust, and a member of the Board of
Directors for The Veronica Atkins Foundation, Inc. |
