Olga Alexeeva
Director
Olga Alexeeva has an unrivaled profile in Russian philanthropy. She spent twelve years working in the Russian
office of Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) and for the last seven was the Director of CAF Russia. The Russian office of
CAF, operational since 1993, played a key role in the development of corporate social responsibility and philanthropy
in Russia. Under Olga's leadership, CAF Russia grew to become one of the largest and fastest growing grant-making
foundations in Russia with over 90% of grant-making funds coming from Russian donors. Today, Olga Alexeeva is the Head of
CAF Global Trustees (CAF GT), a new division of the Charities Aid Foundation that is focused on the development of private
and family giving in the world. In this capacity Olga is responsible for promoting private and family foundations and
CAF services to wealthy individuals around the world, for attracting new clients to CAF GT and developing relations
with existing clients of CAF.
Olga Alexeeva is the author of three books for and about non-profit organizations and civil society in Russia
(Who Helps Children, 1994, Charities in Russian Regions, 1995, Third Sector or Charity
for Beginners, 1997), a co-author of the publication Working with the Non Profit Sector in Russia
(1999) published in the United Kingdom, and has written over 300 articles and research publications about civil
society development and philanthropy.
